China Doll

I am fragile.
I am weak.
I break when I do not receive
what I seek.

Pale as the snow,
I am motionless,
waiting for you return.
It is your attention
for which I yearn.

I am but lifeless.
I cannot think for myself.
I am but porcelain
clothed and fashioned.
I do as you wish
with great passion.
I cannot speak.
I cannot disobey.
I'm just a China doll
and I'm here to stay.

Poem Selections

Poem Selections is the first eBook that was published by Rita in 2012. It was released in December 2013.

"These poems have been written to express some of my best and worse experiences so far in life. As young as I am, I have discovered that life is not always that happy little fairy tale that my parents use to read to me before I fell asleep. However, I have also discovered that there is amazing people wherever you go that are everyday heros. These poems are meant to be a reflexion of what I've encountered and what is to come. Any interaction no matter how brief, can have a major impact on a person's life. The beauty of the sky can give hope to a person who has endured a tough day. The crimson and golden leaves of the autumn can reveal how things are not just black or white. I hope that my words can play such an impact on people aswell. Writing is an art that c an speak to people in so many ways based on how the writer choses to craft sentences in an attempt to express a deeper level of understanding. With this belief, I present my poems."

The poems in this eBook include: Breaking Dawn, Autumn, Out Grew Me, Dreamer, Goodbye, Sorry, 11:11, Winter, Breaking Point, Deeper, Music, Masterpiece, Silly Girl, Winter is Coming, I'm Sorry, Dear Friend, Sleeping Problems, Legacy, Forever and Always, The Art of Writing, Summer, Light and Darkness, Clouds and Lava Lamps.

Cursed

I wrote a novel called Cursed in 2012 as part of NaNoWriMo. The first draft has been completed and I am currently working on the second draft of the story.

Here is the synopsis of the story:

Jasper DeJulio was just a socially awkward and nerdy teenage boy until he met Guinevere Botum. Her mysterious appearance, odd sensitivity to medieval legends and wide knowledge of everything fascinates him. The more Jasper knows about Guinevere, the more he wants to be with her. He learns of her awful past that still follows her today but falls for her nevertheless. Her charm and beauty is great but his love for her is dangerous. After Guinevere disappears, Jasper must go on a quest to find her. Will the tremendous, frustrating, dangerous journey reunite him with Guinevere or will it led to Jasper's own destruction?

As I continue to work on the story, I may post future things about Cursed such as character development, outlines and more.

Heartbreak

You were my favorite heartbreak.

I knew we would never work out.

Still, I loved the journey to disaster.

Your eyes in mine.

Hands touching effortlessly.

I fell faster
than ever before.

You left me when I still wanted more.
And when you left,

a piece of me left too.

Nothing…left to do.

Heartbreak, I miss you.

Twenty-Three Shades of Blue

I’m twenty-three shades of blue
don’t know what to do
I miss you.
I really really miss you.

I’m sixty-five shades of red
being without you is what I always dreaded.
I knew I would miss you.
I’ll always miss you.

I’m eight-four shades a gold
Without you, no one to hold.
Do you ever miss me?
Do you ever really miss me?
I don't know but it doesn't matter because with you,
I'm twenty-three shades of blue.

Frozen

Snowflakes fallen
on crescent lit snow
Ice has come
Nowhere to go
All is frozen.

Now I see,
Now I understand

Your frozen heart
made all this come about,
You never cared about me,
summer nor love.
It was all about you.
A thousand kisses later
and I couldn't unthaw you.

Your frozen touch
pierced my heart
but it shan't freeze like yours
I refuse to be anything like you
Hope will warm my bones,
and pull me through

In your arms

In your arms

I’m warm

finally home

In your arms

I’m yours

you’re mine

In your arms

I’m safe

always sound

In your arms

I’m never lost

always found

I Dream of London

I dream of London.
Walking among the most of the morning.
Strolling past Big Ben,
umbrella in hand
rain glistening upon the streets.
Riding a three decker bus,
stepping into a rouge telephone box.
Seeing The Eye miles away.
Eating fish and chips as I please,
viewing Buckingham Palace.
I think I’m there,
learning the secrets of the natives-
but then I awake from my slumber
an ocean away from London.
I’m in a small American town,
where nothing changes
and reality strikes me
again.

Untitled

lips chapped
skin bare
cold breeze in the air
hair up
ears cold
waiting for someone to hold
layers on
boots laced up
when will it ever be enough
too soon
too late

just another empty date

Hue of Blue

When I met you,
I thought you’d bring color to my life
when I fell for you
I thought my love would suffice
but I really didn’t have a clue
turns out,
you’re just another hue of blue.

You use to make me smile
and feel mellow yellow.
You use to kiss me and my cheeks
would flush like red blush.
You use to hold me
and everything golden
but then you left me
and then I realized you’re just another hue of blue
